Happy Easter

6 months - lots of smiles, giggles, and fun!

Adaline is now 6 months old. She had her 6 month check up this week and is doing well. We are in love with every inch of our baby girl. We love the way her whole face smiles, the way she rubs her eyes and ears when she's sleepy, her laugh when she's tickled, the way she gives us "kisses", the way she snuggles on our shoulder. . . we absolutely adore every second we have with our sweet Adaline.

Our Baby Dinosaur

Jeff dropped Adaline off at the babysitter's this morning wearing an adorable pink ladybug outfit. When he picked her up this evening this is what she was wearing - a dinosaur costume. We had packed one extra outfit in the diaper bag. After two blow out poopy diapers, Adaline was out of clothes. This was the only outfit the babysitter had in Adaline's size . . . we thought she looked pretty cute!

Call us crazy, but we celebrate our dog's birthday. Bryley turned 6 years old last month. She has been so patient with us the last few months. She has been a little neglected since Adaline's birth, but she loves us anyway. This picture was taken last summer at the beach - this dog loves the ocean. We are looking forward to taking Adaline and the dogs to the beach this summer!

Dr. Death and Cowgirl

We went to a murder mystery last weekend to celebrate the 30th birthday of two of our friends. We were "Dr. Death" and "Cowgirl." It was a night full of mystery, drama, and lots of fun!! We may consider career changes. ;)

Adaline is GROWING!!

Adaline went for her 4 month doctor's appointment last week. She now weighs 12 lbs 14 oz!!!! We were concerned with her weight gain last month, but she is doing great now. We are putting away those 0-3 month outfits and pulling out the 3-6 month clothes. Her cheeks, legs, and even feet are getting a little chubby. :) And by the way Adaline has the best pediatrician ever - one who reassures us when we're concerned, makes house calls, accepts our call late at night, and even babysits for us. She is a dear dear friend, actually more like family. Tara - we love you and appreciate you more than you will ever know!

Adaline is changing and doing new things every day. She is rolling from her tummy to her back, trying to sit, reaching out to grab the dogs, eating cereal, blowing bubbles, laughing. . . and even sucking her thumb. This is a habit we didn't want her to start, but she does look so adorable when she sucks that tiny thumb. Her daddy is definitely spoiling her. Jeff had the day off work today and spent the entire day with his little girl. They went shopping in Blacksburg together and came home with some adorable baby clothes. I think he might be starting a bad habit. ;) I love that he enjoys spending so much time with her.

MLK Weekend

Well, we just got home from our annual MLK weekend getaway in Dolly Partonville, ie. Pigeon Forge. We were able to see some friends we have not seen in quite some time, some not since the last MLK weekend. We took our camera, yet failed to capture any photos as the camera never made it out of the bag. Adaline was able to see some friends and hopefully playmates sometime this summer, Riley & Sawyer.

Tomorrow...day one at the babysitter. All prayers for encouragement are greatly appreciated.

Happy Birthday!

Adaline is 3 months old today. 3 months ago we brought home this tiny bundle - one of God's most amazing blessings! We are so in love with this baby girl.
